Waterline turns your rowing machine into a boat on open water.
Connect over Bluetooth and every stroke moves a racing shell down a river. Pull harder and it runs faster. Ease off and it settles. Your split, stroke rate and power sit across the top.
FOUR CIRCUITS, AND NO FINISH LINE Every course is a closed loop, so you are never stopped. Row one lap or twenty - laps are timed as you pass the gate, and your best is saved.
- Emerald City - 5,000 m through a brick university city, under six bridges, past the boathouses.
- Copper Gorge - 6,000 m through a narrow sunrise canyon of steep red rock.
- Emerald Karst - 12,000 m across a flooded tropical valley of limestone towers.
- Sentinel Gorge - 4,000 m through a deep canyon watched over by colossal guardians cut from the rock.
- Sakura Valley - 21,097 m under cherry blossom. A half marathon, lap for lap.
ROW WITH A PACE BOAT, OR A COACH Set a target split from 3:00 down to 1:30 per 500 m. The pace boat holds it exactly and shows how far up or down you are, metre by metre.
Or switch to the coach, who rows alongside at your rate and talks the whole way - encouragement when you are on it, a word when you drift. …
